A/R - no Barrage
I know you're all wondering what good an A/R could possibly do without Barrage, right..? Tell me what you all think of this.
Way of the Assassin {E}
Disrupting Accuracy
Sharpen Daggers
Favorable Winds
Needling Shot
Critical Eye
Pin Down
Res/open
Seems like this would work nicely alongside a Psychic Instability mesmer, or a GftE spammer. I'm not sure what the optimal attributes would be, but obviously you'd want at least 13 critical strikes and high marksman, any suggestions?
:Edit:
OK, since I see views and no comments, I'll elaborate. The point here is to "spam" interrupts with Disrupting Accuracy, using Way of the Assassin and Critical Eye with high Critical Strikes attribute to make interruptions happen *a lot*.
Pin Down is just a great utility skill, and can be subbed out for something else, I suppose.
Critical Eye is here for the tiny extra chance to crit, as well as to make needling shot cost nothing, with a zealous bow.
Needling Shot will speed up the interruptions on a target below 50% hp, since Way of the Assassin eliminates most IAS skills.
Sharpen Daggers is just an enchant to throw out there, activating Way of the Assassin. As a side effect, it also causes a bit of bleeding.
Favorable Winds speeds up your arrow's flight speed and makes them harder to dodge, adding a little bit of damage as a side effect.
The advantage of this build over something like a Choking Gas ranger is that it will interrupt anything, not just spells. The "interrupts" can be kept up indefinitely. You can even focus fire on a warrior and watch his attack skills fail, one after another. With Needling Shot, the rate of interrupts is also potentially higher than CG. It's perfect for use on a hero in a caster heavy area in PvE. GftE would make this almost obscenely overpowered, and Psychic Distraction in combination with this could easily shut down the monk in an arena.

It's nifty, but what can it really do that a broadhead arrow ranger with distracting shot can't do better?
Heck, your rit can bring along warmongers weapon or wailing weapon for the same effect as your entire build. It's a nifty idea, but there are just better options out there that require a lot less.

Agree. Unfortunately for sins, WotA is imo Extremely crippled version of Spirit's Strength(which is somewhat similiar to it). While The second one offers you good +DPS and possibility in using IAS with it, WotA doesn't even give you more dmg with criticals tha SS(even with scythes it is only a bit higher that +30 dmg from SS).

I really don't think that those two weapons compare, especially with the conditional aspects, and high cost. They also can't be up indefinitely.
As far as Spirit's Strength is concerned.. uh. Well you don't see any damage skills here, do you? I'm not really trying to make something along those lines.
I have the same kind of feeling as you do though, Dr. Strangelove. It seems like something could work better, but I have yet to come up with anything. =P
A CG ranger with practiced stance, flurry/flail and needling shot is the closest I can think of, but you lose the ability to get things like healing/res signets. Besides, I'd be crazy not to already have one of my heroes set up as a GftE paragon, right?
It's too bad that Psychic Instability will only KD if the foe isn't using skills or attacking.. this could be what Thunderclap never was.
PS: Is there a way to make Warmonger's Weapon last longer, besides the obvious SQ/QZ?
